Cooler air causes dry scalp: How to hydrate your scalp

Studies have shown that when the air turns cooler, it can cause our scalp to get dry and possibly flake. Dry scalp can also causing itching or tightness. If you have suffered from these symptoms caused by dry scalp in past cooler and cold seasons, try this remedy:

Hydrate your body from the inside out. Drink plenty of water and it will help prevent your scalp from drying out! Staying hydrated is a natural moisturizer for your skin, including your scalp.

Shampooing less often will also help moisturize your scalp. By shampooing less, you will keep your skins natural oils in tact as opposed to washing them away.

Coconut oil and tea tree oil can also help moisturize a dry scalp.

By staying hydrated, keeping your natural oils in tact and by adding coconut or tea tree oil, you may find dry scalp a thing of the past.
